Pembrokeshire Dried Flowers  – Flowers Grown, Dried & Arranged in Pembrokeshire

I was first introduced to the world of dried flowers by my mother who ran her own dried flower business in the 1980’s and had a little craft cabin where she sold her creations – I was a little girl at the time and would regularly help her sewing seeds in the greenhouse, planting in the garden, as well as cutting, bunching and drying the flowers.

This was where my interest in dried flowers was sparked!

The more ethically sustainable flowers are the better. What is better than producing and selling flowers that are naturally dried in Pembrokeshire that are free of pesticides, with no air miles.

I grow all of my flowers from seed, taking great care of every plant until it has reached the optimum point for the flowers to be cut and dried. Just the right weather conditions are needed when harvesting and the right conditions maintained during the drying process. My parents 350 year old Pembrokeshire cottage provides the exact environment needed. From late July right through to the end of September the beams of the cottage are covered in bunches of flowers creating a beautiful upside-down garden!

I am always surrounded by fields of wheat blowing in the breeze, rabbits hopping about, swallows swooping, and butterflies and bees busy at work. I love that my flowers help to create a haven for the natural fauna. It is my place of serenity and I truly enjoy every moment spent there.

My flowers are all naturally dried using traditional methods. Dried flowers will keep their colour for at least two years if they are kept in the right environment – away from heat, sunlight, moisture, pets and children.
